Who we are

Multi-award-winning actor & filmmaker Max McGee launched Maximum Films to produce bold films that push storytelling boundaries and amplify diverse voices.

Max established himself with the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video 'London Trilogy' - Shattered, Auto, and Thames - a series that earned 21 international film festival nominations including three Best Actor nominations for his standout performances. This also included 6 festival wins.

A visionary storyteller, Max also wrote and directed award-winning short films Karma and Our Fathers. The latter, a moving exploration of knife crime, earned Official Selections at major festivals, including Pinewood Studios, London, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

Max’s latest short film ‘The Last Train Home' is out now on Amazon Prime Video.

Max's distinct visual style extends to high-profile television commercials and music videos, collaborating with icons like platinum-selling artist Montell Jordan (This Is How We Do It) and Crystal Waters (Dance Dance Dance), with both videos premiering on MTV.

Max is currently in pre-production on his debut feature film SWEETHEART. Shooting is scheduled for November 2026.

Maximum Films now operates as the feature film banner of McGee Films, which is also run by Max and Tony McGee.
